One of the more common causes of non-healing wounds in the legs and feet is peripheral artery disease. A blockage in an artery of the lower limbs means less blood flow to this area. As a result, open sores or cuts don’t receive the nourishment they need to aid healing and form the clots necessary to seal the wound. With less blood flow, the wound may heal at a much slower rate or not at all.
The difference between a wound and a non-healing wound is the timeframe. Non-healing wounds are those that show no improvement for approximately two weeks or more. Additionally, they’re characterized by:

Patients with hyperhidrosis produce excessive sweat without exerting themselves or being in high temperature conditions. There are two types of hyperhidrosis. Focal hyperhidrosis is a genetic skin condition in which the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands become overactive. Secondary hyperhidrosis occurs as a result of a separate medical condition such as diabetes or low blood sugar.
