Any patient who has a wound that has not responded to standard treatment should be referred to the wound center for further evaluation. 

We will partner with you to take care of your wound care needs.

All wound types are treated, with particular expertise in venous ulcers, arterial and ischemic ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries, traumatic injury wounds, non-healing surgical wounds, chronic osteomyelitis, and compromised skin grafts or flaps. For wounds that have not responded to standard treatment, the clinicians at Dakota Wound can evaluate the situation and develop a more targeted care plan.

Any wound that has not improved with standard treatment warrants referral to a wound care specialist for further evaluation. This includes wounds that are not closing, are growing in size, show signs of infection, or have been present for several weeks without progress. Dakota Wound accepts referrals from physicians, nurses, and other care providers, and self-referrals are also welcome.
