Every year, the Sioux Falls School District gathers to celebrate the educators who have given so much to its students and community. The Annual Recognition and Retirement Banquet, known as the Art of Dedication, is a night set aside to honor teachers and staff who have reached meaningful milestones, whether it is the end of a long career or a significant anniversary of service.
Dakota Vascular is proud to be part of that celebration.
Each year, Dakota Vascular donates $1,000 to the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation to support two $500 cash prize drawings at the banquet. One prize is awarded to a retiring educator, and one goes to a staff member being honored for 25 years of service.
This is not a one-time gesture. It is an ongoing commitment, one that reflects how Dakota Vascular thinks about its role in Sioux Falls. The people who teach in this community are the same people who make up this community. Supporting them matters.
At this year’s banquet, two deserving educators had their names called.
Tammy Ramstad, a kindergarten teacher at Hayward Elementary, was recognized upon her retirement. Melanie Sander, a music teacher at Sonia Sotomayor Elementary, was honored for completing 25 years of service.
Both were surprised and appreciative when their names were drawn, and the moment was exactly what events like this are meant to create.
“It’s definitely a highlight of the night.”— Allison Struck, Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation |
The Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation publicly thanked and tagged Dakota Vascular in their Facebook post following the event. That kind of recognition means a great deal, but it is not why Dakota Vascular shows up for this partnership year after year.
Teachers spend their careers showing up for students, often well beyond what is asked of them. Having the opportunity to recognize that work in a small but meaningful way is something the team at Dakota Vascular genuinely values.
Dakota Vascular has always believed that good care does not stop at the door of a medical practice. The health of a community is shaped by its schools, its families, its teachers, and the organizations that invest in them.
Supporting the Sioux Falls School District Education Foundation is one way Dakota Vascular lives out that belief. Congratulations again to Tammy Ramstad, Melanie Sander, and all of the educators honored at this year’s Art of Dedication banquet.
