Access to specialized care can make a difference, especially when symptoms like leg pain, poor circulation, or slow healing begin to affect daily life. For many patients, getting the right care often means traveling farther than they would like or waiting longer than expected.
Beginning in June, patients in Fort Dodge and surrounding communities will have access to expanded vascular care.
Dakota Vascular is partnering with UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge to expand access to vascular care locally, helping patients receive expert evaluation and treatment closer to home for a wider range of vascular issues.
Why Access to Vascular Care Matters
Vascular conditions can impact more than just physical health. Symptoms such as leg pain, swelling, or circulation issues can limit mobility, delay healing, and make everyday activities more difficult.
For patients managing conditions such as Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), venous disease, or blood clots, timely care is important for improving outcomes and maintaining quality of life.
Having access to a vascular specialist nearby can help patients:
Bringing Dakota Vascular to Fort Dodge
Starting Wednesday, June 3, Dr. Patrick Kelly of Dakota Vascular will begin seeing patients at UnityPoint Clinic Surgery in Fort Dodge. Dr. Kelly is a board-certified vascular surgeon with experience in both vascular and endovascular procedures, including minimally invasive treatments that support faster recovery and reduced discomfort for patients.
Through this outreach, patients will have access to care for a range of vascular conditions, including:
This expansion reflects a shared commitment to making specialized care more accessible while maintaining the same standard of expertise and patient-focused approach.
A Collaborative Approach to Care
This partnership between Dakota Vascular and UnityPoint Health is built on collaboration. By working together, both teams are focused on providing coordinated care that supports patients from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
Whether a patient is referred by a provider or seeking care for symptoms, the goal remains the same: to deliver clear answers, timely treatment, and a care experience that feels connected and supportive.
How Scheduling Works
To ensure a smooth experience, all patient scheduling for the Fort Dodge outreach location will be coordinated through the UnityPoint Clinic Surgery office.
Patients may also contact Dakota Vascular directly and will be guided to the appropriate scheduling team.
This process helps maintain clear communication and ensures patients are scheduled efficiently with the right providers.
Care That Meets You Where You Are
Expanding access to vascular care is about more than adding locations. It’s about meeting patients where they are and making it easier to take the next step toward better health.
If you are experiencing symptoms such as leg pain, circulation issues, or concerns about your vascular health, having access to care closer to home can make an important difference.
This new outreach is one more way Dakota Vascular is working to support patients, strengthen provider partnerships, and help more people return to the activities that matter most.
